Just happened: Four older Persons groups in Bushenyi district have just benefitted from Special Enterprise Grant for Older Persons (SEGOP) worth 5 M each. According to DCDO Bazil, this makes a total of 7 groups in the district that have so far benefited from the grant. He said it's a grant from govt thru Ministry of Gender Labour & social devt. Each group of 5-10 old persons of 60-79 years received 5M. This totals to 35M including 15 M which 3 groups received last FY. This round groups that benefited are from Kyeizooba SC, Ibaare, Ruhumuro and Kyamuhunga TC, while those of last FY were from Nyabubaare, Kakanju and Kyabugimbi. Accordingly, SEGOP funds will be released every financial year
